1. Once you’ve opened the SVG file on your design mat, click on the Layers Panel.
2. Click anywhere on the layout to select it. This will highlight all the individual layers in the Layers Panel.
3. With the layers still highlighted, click the Ungroup button at the bottom of the Panel.
4. You can now work with each layer individually.
o Remember, if you plan to resize your design, you should do so before ungrouping, so that everything remains in proportion.

1. Once you’ve opened the SVG file on your design mat, select Edit, Layers from the top menu bar. This will open the layers menu on the right side of the screen.
2. You will see that there is a main layer, with a series of layers detailed below. Click on each layer to move it individually.
o More complex designs may have subgroups within layers, particularly those with multiple layers of the same color. If this is the case, you will see that one of the layers will be labeled Group in the panel. When you click on these layers on the design mat, just right-click to ungroup and reveal the sublayers below.
o Remember, if you plan to resize your design, you should do so before ungrouping, so that everything remains in proportion.
